Federico Berges Arteaga

Seeks to share captured images through the medium of photography and vector artwork in much the same way that writers, painter, poets, and musicians seek to evoke feelings and reactions through their respective media.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Federico considers himself a "Southerner by choice," and a portion of his work depicts the love of the natural beauty that is coastal South America. Experiencing its vivid scenic and wide angle photography of land and seascapes sites of the area giving the effect of being immersed in the moment with the photographer. Lately he used this technique and broaden his scenary to Europe and Asia. His color photography depicts his love of composition that draws the eye to the interplay of light, color and shadow.

In another aspect of his work, fede's black and white portfolio runs the gamut from the natural to architectural perspectives and more avant garde photography that emphasizes texture and contrast.

Working in graphic designer since 2002, very curious in photoshop skills started merging his knowledge and imagination with photography, thus creating his compositions.

The goal of my work is to invite its viewers to slow down for a moment and to look carefully at our world. My camera helps me to learn and better understand my own world, and I want to share what I have discovered.
